Reporting to the Supplier Quality Manager, the QC Inspection Technician is responsible for incoming inspection of production parts and NPD ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards and specifications. You will utilize a range of techniques, tools, and equipment to perform evaluations, visual inspection of parts, measure dimensions, conduct tests, and compare results against predetermined standards. Also, collaborate with SQM team/production teams to rectify problems and make necessary adjustments to ensure that parts are compliant with quality requirements.
A typical day will look like:
- Producing inspection reports for SQM
- Raising Non-Conforming Reports for any defects seen
- Monitor and transact defected parts from production lines/quarantine
- Responsible for all RMAs to suppliers
- Responsible for calibration of inspection equipment – external
- Taking part in daily QDIP session for SQM
- Working with Path Lab for defects analysis
- Assisting SQE in supplier issues
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Developing inspection plans for incoming parts
- Inspection experience on vision and/or CMM equipment
- Ability to read technical drawings – GD&T
- Producing inspection reports
- Experience with RMA handling
- Experience working within a company producing electromechanical assemblies (preferred not essential) or industrial manufacturing
