In this role you will shape the technical direction of a founding AI platform, balancing hands-on coding with strategic leadership. As part of a small, ambitious team, you’ll define the engineering vision and build foundations to scale AI across customer operations. You’ll work closely with founders, product, and customers, shaping architecture and delivery while hiring and mentoring early engineers. This is a chance to influence both technology and business as the team grows.
Responsibilities
- Define and communicate the technical vision and strategy for scaling AI across the platform
- Build foundational software and architecture to support rapid growth
- Engage with customers to understand challenges and translate them into product direction
- Review architecture and contribute hands-on coding when needed to unblock delivery
- Lead and hire the engineering team, shaping culture and processes
- Collaborate with founders on product decisions and roadmap
- Balance technical excellence with business impact to ensure delivery to customers
Key requirements
- Hands-on engineering leadership experience in startups or similar environments
- Ability to move between technical details and big-picture strategy
- Experience hiring and mentoring engineers
