Overview Innovation, driving authentication through next generation methods, ensuring security is maintained to the highest standards. A successful startup is looking to build this further, bringing you in to drive strategy, revenue growth and manage engineering teams. The team is distributed globally, so occasional travel will be required for face-to-face interactions with the team. You must be equally comfortable managing and strategising remotely; this is the main method of communication. The engineering team sits around 20 people and will grow with organic, profitable expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategy, revenue growth and manage engineering teams.
  • Build and scale a distributed engineering organisation with global collaboration and remote leadership.
  • Engage with the C-Suite and stakeholders; develop the careers of direct reports.
  • Define engineering function, set direction, and ensure operations run efficiently.
  • Own security initiatives and continue innovations in authentication methods.
  • Take ownership in a high-growth company with a strong financial track record and visible impact on the organisation.

Qualifications

  • Experience in growing organisations in terms of headcount, revenue, or ARR; comfortable with scale and change.
  • Ability to work across multiple technology domains (QA, software development, infrastructure, and cloud).
  • Comfortable communicating with the C-Suite and managing stakeholders; capable of developing and mentoring reports.
  • Automation-focused engineering mindset; experience building complex Linux-based systems.
  • Willingness to travel as needed and to manage teams remotely with effectiveness.

Permanent role in the North West with salary in the Β£45,000 – Β£55,000 range.
