In this role you will shape the infrastructure behind a fast-growing fintech start-up helping more people access homeownership.
The company is scaling a complex financial platform and looking for a hands-on technical leader to own the reliability, resilience and infrastructure behind it and own the technical foundations supporting the next stage of growth.
Reporting directly to the CTO, you’ll have company-wide responsibility for platform infrastructure, reliability, operational resilience, cloud architecture and infrastructure strategy.
This is a genuine hands-on leadership role, setting strategy while designing infrastructure, writing automation, improving production systems and delivering major technical initiatives yourself.
You’ll work closely with the CTO, Head of Engineering and CISO to ensure the platform is secure, resilient, observable, cost-effective and ready to scale.
What you’ll do: Own and evolve platform strategy across Azure and AWSDrive operational resilience, disaster recovery, business continuity and incident readiness, including recovery objectives and resilience testing Design, build and modernise production infrastructure Champion Terraform and Infrastructure as Code Improve observability, service ownership, SLOs, incident response, on-call practices and reliability engineering Improve CI/CD, deployment workflows, developer environments and internal platform tooling Partner with the CISO on cloud security, access, secrets and infrastructure risk Improve cloud cost, capacity, performance and vendor management Lead major infrastructure migrations, platform modernisation and security improvements Act as the senior technical authority for platform and reliability Why join?
