Overview
In this Backend Engineer role you will help build and scale the foundational infrastructure of an AI-native enterprise platform. You will own critical systems that enable AI workloads to run reliably at enterprise scale, collaborating with a small, high‑performing team. The role offers ownership of architecture, performance, and observability while shaping technology used by some of the world’s largest businesses. You’ll tackle substantial scale challenges and contribute to a platform that aims to simplify IT complexity for enterprises.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend systems to support enterprise-scale workloads
- Create shared abstractions, tooling, and infrastructure to accelerate product engineering
- Handle high-volume LLM workloads, real-time processing, and external provider reliability
- Develop resilient distributed systems and optimize databases for large-scale processing
- Own architecture, performance, observability, authentication, and job orchestration decisions
- Influence engineering standards and improve developer experience from the outset
Key requirements
- 3+ years of backend engineering experience with exposure to platform engineering or infrastructure
- Strong system design skills and production-grade systems experience
- Experience with distributed systems, PostgreSQL, queueing systems, and large-scale batch processing
- Understanding of performance optimization, benchmarking, and scaling under demand
- Exposure to LLM infrastructure or AI-native applications
- Ability to own problems across APIs, infrastructure, and data flows
- Pragmatic engineering mindset with confidence to decide and challenge approaches
