You’re a design focused engineer, you take your designs and get them implemented. Coding the solutions is part of what you do. You can see the bigger picture, piecing together the intricate details of the user journey, easing their usage and then bringing it to life. You’re creative and technical, design fascinated with clear engineering prowess; you bring it all together, bridging the two disciplines.

This is a critical position for the organisation, intersecting design and software development. You’ll bring a key eye to detail and thrive working in an environment where it is about getting things done. You’ll deliver elegant, seamless user experiences, through every stage of the product development lifecycle. You’ll take research, map out workflow, build the prototypes and then code the production interfaces.

Communication is key, experience working business to business, gathering requirements and engaging stakeholders is required. You can own things from start to finish, no need for a list of tasks, your experience tells you what to do next. You can get what you need and are confident enough to work well in ambiguity. You can visualise the bigger picture and bring it together without having every piece to hand.

Technically, you are confident across different design platforms. Use what you need to get the job done. You should also be comfortable with HTML, CSS and modern JavaScript frameworks, ideally React.

The team moves fast, it’s about solving customer problems quickly. Solutions don’t have to be perfect, they need to work and meet requirements. You’re a natural problem solver, who can work at pace, owning multiple areas simultaneously. Take the requirements, move quickly, get it done, move on to the next. That kind of environment, constantly iterating, learning and progressing.

This organisation is onsite, non-negotiable for them. They feel that in order to build what they are building (a groundbreaking AI powered product) everyone needs to be in the same room to get things done together.
