Capstone Investment Advisors, a leading $12 billion asset management firm specializing in derivatives, is seeking an Enterprise Software Engineer to join their technology team in London. You will modernize and maintain BOSS, their proprietary back-office platform, while building new software to streamline workflows across Operations, Treasury, Fund Accounting, IR, and Compliance.
What You'll Do
- Modernize, extend, and maintain the BOSS proprietary back-office platform with focus on performance, reliability, and scalability
- Own end-to-end delivery: partner with stakeholders to understand problems, design solutions, and ship thoroughly tested code
- Build and architect new software to streamline and automate workflows across Operations, Treasury, Fund Accounting, IR, and Compliance
- Collaborate with engineers across front office, data, and AI teams to tackle cross-cutting challenges
- Drive migration of legacy components to modern, maintainable standards
What You Need
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- Production-level Python and/or Java experience
- SQL fluency
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Collaborative, proactive communicator who takes ownership and follows through
Nice to Have
- Experience with React or modern front-end frameworks
- Familiarity with C# (legacy component migration)
- Experience in a Linux environment
- Demonstrated interest in process automation and workflow optimization
- Comfortable using AI coding productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude
