Linum Consult’s client is a world leader in structural engineering, currently seeking to expand their UK operations. They are urgently looking for a Quality Engineer to support and maintain the Quality Management Systems of the company. This role will be based out of their West Midlands office with frequent travel across the UK.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supporting the administration, maintenance, and continual improvement of the Quality and Environmental Management Systems in line with business needs, relevant standards, and company requirements.
- Assisting in the development, review, and control of company systems documentation, procedures, standards, and records, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.
- Contributing to the planning, delivery, and reporting of the Internal Audit Programme, including conducting internal audits under the agreed schedule and tracking corrective actions.
- Assisting with the preparation and participation in external audits.
- Working closely with operational, engineering, and project teams to help define, maintain, and apply quality standards that support safe and compliant project delivery.
- Monitoring quality and environmental performance data, identifying trends and areas for improvement, and supporting the preparation of reports for management review.
PROFILE
- University degree in Civil Engineering, ideally with Internal Auditor or IEMA qualifications.
- Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in quality engineering within the civil engineering or construction industry, working for main contractors.
- Experience supporting the development and maintenance of management systems.
- Solid knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.
- Familiar with document control systems and maintaining management system records.
- Fluent in English, with strong technical written skills.
- The right to live and work in the UK or previous working experience in the UK is essential.
- Prepared to frequently travel across the UK to visit work sites.
