Operating within a complex environment, the organisation is seeking an exceptional Delivery Director to take responsibility for the successful delivery of a major section of works within a nationally significant programme. This is a career-defining opportunity to join a project that will shape the UK's infrastructure landscape for generations.
Reporting to Executive Leadership, the Delivery Director will provide strategic and operational leadership across a major portfolio of civil engineering works, ensuring the safe, efficient and commercially successful delivery of the programme. Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the delivery of large-scale infrastructure works within a complex joint venture environment
- Providing executive leadership across multidisciplinary project teams
- Driving programme performance across safety, quality, schedule, commercial and operational objectives
- Managing key stakeholder relationships including clients, partners, regulators and supply chain organisations
- Leading contractual and commercial strategy across major works packages
- Building and developing high-performing delivery teams
- Managing programme risk, governance and performance reporting
- Supporting strategic planning and long-term programme objectives
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar. Proven track record delivering major UK infrastructure projects valued in excess of £500M. Significant experience operating at Project Director, Delivery Director or Programme Director level. Previous experience working within a joint venture delivery environment is essential. Strong understanding of complex civil engineering and infrastructure delivery. Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management and commercial capability. Experience delivering within highly regulated, safety-critical environments. Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and collaborative delivery models. Full right to live and work in the UK.
