PARTS DATA INTERPRETER – Mining HME – London – UK
Our client is a leading supplier in mining and construction heavy machinery. They are urgently looking to hire a “Parts Data Interpreter”. The position is based in London- UK
Role
Catalogue Administration
- Identify potential and relevant suppliers to add to the company supplier base
- Liaise with suppliers to agree the catalogue data that they will make available to the company, the format in which it can be provided, frequency and method of transfer to the company
- Maintain a register of supplier catalogues, including suppliers’ key points of contact and the date at which the current catalogue is superseded
- Receive catalogues from clients and transform, categorise, cross reference and prepare the catalogues for loading into the company’s ERP solution (MS Nav)
- Liaise with the IT technical team to load catalogues
- Liaise with IT technical team to specify requirements for ERP database required to support supplier catalogue requirements
Parts Interpretation
The candidate is expected to perform the following catalogue administration functions
- Assist clients to identify the appropriate parts to meet their business requirement
- Identify parts required including alternative value options (cost, quality and availability) from a range of the company’s suppliers
- Identify ancillary parts, parts groups, assemblies and services required by the customer to ensure they have all of the elements they need to satisfy their business requirement
- Assist clients to identify the parts required for pre-assembled planned maintenance and component change-out kits
- Produce quotes to supply parts to internal and external clients
- Process orders including placing the relevant supply orders via the company’s and suppliers’ systems

Profile:
The successful candidate will preferably have a background in parts interpretation for Mining HME. MS Dynamics NAV knowledge or experience is an advantage but training will be given. However, a passion for ingenious data manipulation is a must.
