Linum Consult’s client is a world leader in specialised civil engineering, delivering landmark infrastructure projects across the globe. Due to ongoing project growth in the UK, they are urgently seeking a Senior Estimator to join their London-based team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and record all tender correspondence, ensuring clear documentation and tracking.
- Deliver accurate, on-time proposals and cost estimates for complex civil engineering works.
- Review tender documentation, providing expert feasibility advice to stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit tender queries and clarifications to clients and consultants.
- Develop detailed bills of quantities and schedules of rates for tender submissions.
- Produce high-quality, compliant proposals in line with client requirements and specifications.
- Ensure full adherence to health, safety, quality, and environmental standards in all estimating activities.
- Analyse technical, legal, and financial aspects to recommend competitive and commercially sound strategies.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years’ post-graduate experience in Estimating within the civil engineering or infrastructure construction sectors.
- Strong background in main contracting, pricing large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
- Solid understanding of health & safety regulations and industry compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
