Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Logistics Flow Simulation Manager to join their Logistics & Sustainability team supporting a major infrastructure programme in Southeast England.
THE ROLE
- The Logistics Flow Simulation Manager will act as the logistics subject matter expert responsible for analysing, modelling, and optimising site‑wide logistics flows across the project.
- The role combines practical construction methodology expertise with data‑driven logistics analysis and dynamic flow simulation modelling using Siemens Plant Simulation software.
- Leading logistics flow analysis and simulation studies across major construction operations.
- Mapping and analysing all project flows including materials, manpower, construction equipment, traffic movements, storage and laydown areas, welfare and site facilities.
- Developing Value Stream Mapping (VSM) models to identify bottlenecks and optimisation opportunities.
- Improving logistics performance, site efficiency, productivity, and traffic management strategies.
- Managing and mentoring a small team of junior logistics modellers.
- Coordinating closely with construction, methods, planning, and logistics teams.
- Learning and implementing Siemens Plant Simulation software (training provided).
PROFILE
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Logistics, or similar.
- Approximately 10+ years of experience within construction methods, technical engineering, logistics, or major project site operations.
- Strong understanding of complex construction logistics and operational site planning.
- Previous exposure to Lean Management principles, traffic management, logistics planning, and flow optimisation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
- Motivated to develop expertise in digital simulation and logistics modelling.
