Linum Consult’s client is a large civil engineering specialist currently seeking a Business Development Manager to oversee the business development in Scotland and Northern England, based in their Glasgow office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing new business in sectors which include transport infrastructure, water, energy, industrial, and commercial.
- Growing and retaining existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients based on existing brand strength.
- Identifying opportunities, potential new clients, and specific project targets, turning these into increased business.
- Making contacts within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
- Meeting potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
- Identifying potential clients and the decision makers within their organisation.
- Participating in the pricing of solutions/services.
PROFILE
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or similar.
- Ideally from an engineering background, with a strong understanding of the civil engineering or infrastructure construction market within the UK.
- Demonstrable history of developing business and winning work within the heavy civils and/or specialist construction sector.
- Tenacious and proactive, with excellent communication and persuasion skills.
- The right to live and work in the UK.
