What you will be doing:
An opportunity has arisen for a Assistant Project Manager to join the team at Lintott , a Galliford Try business .
The position of Assistant Project Manager requires a well-organised, communicative & enthusiastic individual, skilled in administrative duties & computer literacy as well as having a keen interest in Project Management.
What you will be doing:
- Assist with activity planning and sequencing, inclusive of quality planning, risk planning and time planning (with the use of Microsoft Project Gantt chart scheduling).
- Accurately produce project documentation inclusive of contractual notices, progress reports, commercial reports & email correspondence.
- Provide strong and effective communication and liaison (using various written and verbal formats) with stakeholders (including the client and delivery partners) in order to resource plan and to fulfil all commitments and meet all targets.
- Understand key project milestone criteria and associated payment criteria thereof for invoice application, supplemented by documentation evidence.
- Develop inhouse knowledge of products and processes, embedding within the process and procedural frameworks to inform decision making and contribute toward developments.
- Champion internal process development, identifying and removing waste / non-value-added activities.
- Ensure compliance with the Company’s Business Assurance Standards in all relevant reporting, documentation, record keeping and procedures.
- Always abide by the Company’s Culture and Values.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience or transferrable skill in the following areas:
- Raising and updating project gantt chart plans, project change management, clear & confident written and verbal communication skills, strong organisational skills with demonstrable experience of balancing priorities
Candidates will preferably have academic attainments (ONC/HNC or above) in Business Management or Engineering disciplines, however candidates with other academic attainments, or those with significant experience will also be considered.
Business Management or Engineering background.
Familiar with the NEC3 suite of contracts.
