Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for your next challenge within the public sector? We're looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to join a busy Building Services & Maintenance team, delivering safe, compliant, and sustainable electrical engineering solutions across a diverse property portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of modern, low-carbon electrical systems while ensuring statutory compliance and excellent service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Design and review electrical engineering solutions across a varied property portfolio.
- Produce feasibility studies, condition surveys, technical reports, and specifications.
- Prepare and manage CAD drawings.
- Act as Contract Administrator, carrying out site inspections and monitoring contractor performance.
- Diagnose defects and develop practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Provide technical advice on electrical compliance, regulations, and industry best practice.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and contractor performance against agreed KPIs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
- Support the delivery of energy-efficient, sustainable, and low-carbon electrical systems.
You'll have experience in:
- Electrical Building Services Engineering
- Electrical design and specification
- Building maintenance and property services
- Contract administration
- Site inspections and quality assurance
- Electrical compliance and statutory regulations
- CAD drawing production
- Contractor management
- Delivering projects on time and within budget
Experience working within local government, housing, healthcare, education, or commercial property environments would be advantageous, along with knowledge of sustainable and low-carbon building design.
