Strategic Procurement Manager £500 per day | Outside IR35 | Hybrid Working - Surrey | 6-Month+ Contract We are currently recruiting for an experienced Strategic Procurement Manager to join a major public sector procurement partnership, supporting multiple local authorities across the region. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior procurement professional to lead high-value, strategic procurement projects, drive commercial efficiencies and influence senior stakeholders across a complex, multi-partner environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver strategic procurement plans across major spend categories (Health & Social Care, Assets &Infrastructure and Corporate & Business Lead complex, high-value procurement projects, including contracts worth £50m-£100m. Work closely with senior stakeholders, directors and partner organisations to deliver commercial objectives. Identify opportunities to improve value for money, efficiency and service delivery. Lead tendering and contract management activity, ensuring compliance with procurement legislation and regulations. Drive social value through procurement initiatives. Lead, coach and develop a small team of procurement professionals. Deliver innovative procurement strategies and collaborative projects across partner councils. Essential Experience & Qualifications Significant senior-level procurement management experience. CIPS Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience. Strong experience in strategic procurement and category management. Good understanding of Public Procurement Regulations and relevant legislation. Experience leading complex, high-value procurement projects and managing budgets. Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills. Proven experience leading, coaching and developing teams. Knowledge of project management, change management and continuous improvement.
