We are currently recruiting for an experienced Passive Fire Surveyor to join a growing team working across a range of projects, including higher-risk buildings. We are looking for someone with strong technical knowledge of fire safety, compartmentation and passive fire protection, who can independently identify defects and non-compliances and produce clear, professional survey reports.
The Role
As a Passive Fire Surveyor, you will be responsible for carrying out detailed compartmentation and passive fire surveys, identifying non-compliances and providing clear recommendations for remedial works. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting passive fire and compartmentation surveys across a variety of building types.
- Identifying non-compliances and defects within existing passive fire protection systems.
- Assessing the adequacy and continuity of compartmentation lines.
- Interpreting fire strategies, fire plans, drawings and specifications.
- Understanding compartmentation principles rather than simply inspecting individual fire-stopping products.
- Producing formal and detailed survey reports, clearly documenting findings and recommendations.
- Working with clients, contractors and other stakeholders to communicate technical findings.
- Ensuring surveys are carried out in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards.
