Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor\\nLocation: Birmingham / Worcester / Gloucester\\nSalary: Up to £65,00 p/a (dependent on experience)\\nAdditional: Company vehicle or car allowance\\nJob Type: Full-time – Permanent\\n\\nAre you an experienced and driven Quantity Surveyor with a background in heavy civils, highways or environmental roles and looking for a fresh challenge?\\n\\nWe have an exciting new opportunity with our client, a well-established civil engineering firm with national coverage and a growing reputation on major frameworks.\\n\\nThey are looking for a forward thinking and ambitious Senior QS to join their team based in the Gloucester / Worcester / Birmingham area. This role will involve work on projects including environmental, flood alleviation and highways and civils works. \\n\\nThe ideal candidate will have a wide experience of working on civil engineering projects and able to work comfortably within a well-established team.
\\n\\nKey duties:\\n\\nEnsure compliance with quality, safety and environmental objectives.\\nUndertake preparation of plans, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation.\\nOn-site measurement and measurement of drawings as required.\\nOn-going cost analysis of maintenance and repair work and provide evidence for resolution of disputes.\\nPreparation of estimates and analysing sub-contractors quotations.\\nPreparation and agreeing variation accounts and the preparation and agreeing of interim valuations and final accounts.\\nPrepare and issue certification for contract payments to sub-contractors.\\nEnsure all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedure.Required Skills:\\n\\nSuccessful candidate will be an ambitious individual with great communication skills, who is confident with flexible working approaches as needed.\\nAble to demonstrate innovative approaches to problem solving and the ability to negotiate across the various levels of any construction environment.\\nAble to handle the financial and mathematical demands of the role by possessing impressive numeracy and IT skills.\\nExperience working on heavy civil projects and working with the NEC form of contract.\\nThe successful candidate must be ok to travel and have a full UK driving licence.What they offer:\\n\\nCompetitive salary of up to £65k per annum based on experience\\nCompany car or car allowance\\n25 days holiday plus bank hols and holiday purchase scheme\\nCompany pension scheme, matched up to 8%\\nLife assurance cover 4x annual salary\\nInvestment in development via internal training schemes\\nCompany social events and early finishes at end of the weekIf you feel you are suited to this role, then please apply with an updated CV or contact Rich at Linsco for further information. \\n\\nApplications\\n\\nIf you feel that you have the relevant experience to be successful in this position and would like to find out more, please apply online today, attaching a copy of your current CV.\\n\\nDue to the vast number of applications that we receive, it is not possible for us to contact all applicants; therefore, only suitable candidates will be contacted.
