Contracts Manager – Care Home Project π York | π 11-Month Contract Linsco Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a three-storey traditional build care home in York. The project is currently at first floor stage with around 11 months remaining until completion. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic and professional guidance to the Site Manager across all construction aspects. Lead effective Health & Safety management, ensuring near misses and audit actions are escalated and addressed. Carry out regular manager inspections to support the site team in upholding high standards. Develop and manage main target programmes, phased programmes, and short-term plans. Oversee onsite operations, leading forecast-to-complete reviews and lookahead meetings. Ensure all planning conditions are closed out for pre-commencement, completion, and occupation. Coordinate with statutory authorities to deliver utility services and section works. Lead compliance with building control and ensure all design and consultant reports are incorporated into works. Report weekly to senior management and prepare progress reports for monthly client and internal reviews. Chair collaboration meetings with contractors, ensuring delays are recorded and managed effectively. Work alongside the design team on development, VE exercises, and achieving compliance with Employer\’s Requirements. Support commercial teams with financial reporting, cost control, and profit target delivery. Oversee contractor performance to ensure compliance with programme, quality, budget, and H&S standards. Deliver a smooth project handover and aftercare to achieve client satisfaction.Requirements: SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS (essential). Strong track record as a Contracts Manager on traditional build projects, ideally within care homes or residential schemes. Excellent leadership, programme management, and commercial awareness.
