I am recruiting for an experienced PRS Housing & Lettings Officer to join their growing team supporting local authority housing schemes across London and the Home Counties. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a strong background in:
- Private Rented Sector (PRS) housing
- Landlord engagement and property procurement
- Lettings and tenancy management
- Working within a local authority or council environment
Following successful training in Brentwood, the role becomes fully remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage relationships with private landlords and letting agents
- Procure PRS properties for local authority-backed schemes
- Manage the full lettings process from negotiation through to tenancy setup
- Work closely with councils and housing partners to secure placements
- Conduct property assessments and ensure AST compliance
- Maintain landlord pipelines and deliver excellent stakeholder engagement
Essential Experience
- MUST have PRS/property lettings experience
- MUST have experience dealing with landlords and agents
- MUST come from a council/local authority housing background
- Strong understanding of ASTs and housing schemes
- Excellent negotiation skills
