We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Buyer / Buyer to join a leading national house builder on a freelance basis, working from their Wakefield head office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in residential construction buying to support a busy commercial team.
Role Responsibilities:
- Placing material and subcontract orders
- Liaising with suppliers and site teams
- Managing procurement schedules
- Using the COINS system for order processing and tracking
- Supporting the commercial team with general buying admin tasks
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Buyer or Assistant Buyer role within new build housing
- COINS software experience is essential
- Good understanding of construction processes and terminology
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced office environment
