We are currently looking for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join the team on a new build housing development in Bishop Auckland. Must be confident in overseeing day-to-day site operations to ensure continuity and safety whilst on site. The site runs at around 60 units per year and is a busy site at present so previous experience is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily site operations, ensuring work continues to plan and programme
- Manage sub-contractors on-site, maintaining quality standards and health & safety compliance
- Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks where necessary
- Monitor and report on progress to senior management
- Address any minor site issues to ensure smooth delivery during the cover period
- Assist with general site documentation and record-keeping
Requirements:
- Proven experience on new build housing projects
- Valid SMSTS and First Aid certification
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to get involved and manage day-to-day site activities of the site
