About the Opportunity

This full-time position is based out of a modern Manchester office, with essential travel to project sites across the region. You\’ll be instrumental in supporting and coordinating the entire design process for projects typically valued between £5 million and £10 million. This role offers significant responsibility, contributing directly to the successful delivery of complex developments.

Working closely with the Design Manager or Head of Design, you\’ll be central to ensuring designs are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while fostering seamless communication among all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

As the Design Coordinator, you will:

  • Support Design Development: Facilitate and coordinate design development across multiple construction projects, ensuring concepts align with project goals and client expectations.

  • Information Management: Review design drawings, specifications, and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and full compliance with regulations.

  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for design-related queries, facilitating clear communication between clients, architects, engineers, and contractors.

  • Risk & Issue Assistance: Support in identifying potential design risks, assist with recommending effective solutions, and help ensure all design work is completed within agreed budgets and timelines.

  • Approval Coordination: Coordinate the design approval process, assisting with securing all necessary permits and approvals prior to construction commencement.

  • Collaborate & Report: Organise and attend design review meetings, provide feedback, and assist with preparing project reports for senior management and clients.
