The Company: We are supporting our client, a civil engineering and groundworks contractor with decades of experience in bespoke, high-end and premium residential developments. They offer project management, design, civil services as well as demolition and landscaping to help deliver on domestic developments of up to £2.5m. Having completed hundreds of projects across London, Home Counties and the wider UK, they are seeking an experienced Landscape Architect to join their design team as a result of continued growth and a strong upcoming order book of work.

The Candidate: The ideal candidate will have experience of working on premium domestic construction and refurb projects. You should have a strong background within construction with a degree in Landscape Architecture or a similar relevant postgraduate or master's degree.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and supervise Projects
  • Support the project management team with technical expertise
  • Carry out site visits, surveys and inspections
  • Strong technical, drafting and graphic skills
  • Proven ability to run medium to large scale complex projects whilst producing high quality results
  • Work to tight deadlines and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary design teams both verbally and in writing

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years demonstrable relevant post qualification experience and minimum of 3 years UK experience
  • Relevant experience in the Civil Engineering and Construction industry
  • A relevant degree in Landscape Architecture or other relevant Postgraduate/Master's degree
  • Chartered member status of the Landscape Institute (or near Chartered with extensive project delivery experience will be considered)
  • Strong IT skills, with experience of using all MS Office applications and highly proficient in ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup and Lumion
  • Confident to work under minimum supervision and competent to check the work of others and supervise less experienced or junior staff
  • Experience of successful detailed planning and delivery of high quality projects
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Clean driving licence and own vehicle; a pool car will be accessible for travelling for work
