The Role We are currently recruiting for reliable, highly skilled Commercial Specialist Paint Sprayers for immediate starts on a high-profile sports infrastructure development in Wrexham.
This is a fast-track project focused on protective coatings and specialist finishes for major structural steel frameworks and stadium installations.
- Key Duties & Responsibilities
- High-Performance Spraying: Operating airless, air-assisted, and plural-component pressure pot spray systems to apply protective coatings to structural steel.
- Technical Product Application: Mixing and applying heavy-duty multi-component epoxies, urethanes, primers, and fire-retardant intumescent coatings to C3–C5 protection standards.
- Rigorous Surface Preparation: Ensuring all structural steelwork, joins, and surfaces are thoroughly prepared, cleaned, and masked to meet tight client quality specifications.

Requirements & Compliance Vetting To comply with our Tier-1 specialist client frameworks and trade credit insurance policies, all applicants must pass our strict internal vetting process before deployment:
- Valid CSCS Card: Essential. Qualification and card status checks will be completed digitally via the CITB database (Blue/Gold skilled cards highly preferred).
- Industrial Paint Qualifications: Must hold a valid ICATS (Industrial Coating Applicator Training Scheme) or TTP (Train the Painter) certification.
- Specialist Experience: Proven track record in heavy-duty commercial or industrial steel spray painting using airless systems.
- Access Competencies: Valid IPAF (3a/3b) is highly advantageous for operating mobile boom and scissor lifts on-site.
- Right to Work Documentation: Biometric passport, share code, or birth certificate.
