Support Children and Families to Achieve Positive Outcomes
We are recruiting an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to join a Family Support Team in Wrexham. This is an excellent opportunity for a practitioner who is passionate about safeguarding children, supporting families, and delivering high-quality child-centred practice.
The successful candidate will work with children and families subject to Child Protection Plans and care/support planning processes, undertaking statutory duties and interventions to reduce risk and improve outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of children, young people, and families requiring statutory support.
- Complete assessments, care planning, reviews, and direct work with children and families.
- Undertake safeguarding activity and manage risk effectively.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including health, education, and other professionals.
- Attend multi-agency meetings and contribute to child protection planning.
- Produce clear, accurate, and timely case records, assessments, and reports.
- Support families through evidence-based interventions and relationship-focused practice.
- Contribute to court proceedings where required.
About You:
- Qualified Social Worker with current professional registration.
- Experience within Children's Services, safeguarding, Child Protection, or Family Support.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills.
- Good knowledge of safeguarding procedures, thresholds, and statutory frameworks.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise effectively.
- Confident working independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Committed to anti-discriminatory and anti-oppressive practice.
