We are recruiting for an experienced Team Manager to join a dedicated Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) Service in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a team of Social Workers, Senior Practitioners, and Support Staff, ensuring high-quality, child‑centred practice and positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a busy UASC social work team.
- Provide reflective supervision and performance management.
- Oversee safeguarding practice, assessments, and care planning.
- Manage workloads and ensure statutory responsibilities are met.
- Drive service improvement and maintain high practice standards.
Requirements
- Social Work qualification and Social Work England registration.
- Significant experience within Children's Services.
- Previous management or supervisory experience.
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and leadership skills.
- Ability to lead teams and manage complex casework effectively.
