We are currently recruiting an experienced Social Worker to join Rhondda Cynon Taf Council's Children and Adult Services. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive, well-structured service delivering high-quality, strengths-based social work across a diverse caseload. You will work collaboratively with children, young people, adults, families, carers, and partner agencies to deliver effective assessments, safeguarding interventions, and care and support planning in line with Welsh legislation and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake statutory assessments under the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014.
  • Manage a varied caseload across children’s and/or adult services.
  • Complete care and support plans, reviews, and safeguarding enquiries.
  • Undertake Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest decision-making where appropriate.
  • Work closely with multi-agency partners to deliver coordinated support.
  • Prepare clear, high-quality assessments, reports, and case recordings.
  • Attend safeguarding meetings, reviews, and other statutory forums.
  • Promote independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes using a strengths-based approach.

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with current registration.
