We are recruiting for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join an Adult Social Care team in Colindale, London. This role focuses on supporting adults to remain independent and safe at home through functional assessments, equipment provision, manual handling assessments, and major housing adaptations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete Care Act compliant functional assessments.
  • Assess and recommend minor and major adaptations, including level-access showers, ramps, and stairlifts.
  • Prescribe appropriate equipment and develop safe moving and handling plans.
  • Work closely with service users, carers, housing teams, contractors, and partner agencies.
  • Support referral triage, risk management, and safeguarding processes.
  • Maintain accurate case records and produce professional reports.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience within community-based Adult Social Care.
  • Knowledge of housing adaptations, equipment provision, and manual handling.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
