LinsCare is looking for experienced Outreach Tutors to provide one-to-one educational support to children and young people across Greater Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified teachers and experienced tutors who are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning, particularly those with SEND, care experience, or who have become disengaged from education.

The Role

  • Providing personalised one-to-one tuition, helping pupils build confidence, improve their educational outcomes and re-engage with learning.
  • Delivering high-quality, tailored one-to-one tuition in person.
  • Planning sessions around each pupil's individual learning needs and agreed targets.
  • Adapting teaching methods to suit different abilities, learning styles and additional needs.
  • Supporting pupils who may have experienced gaps in education or difficulties engaging with mainstream provision.
  • Building positive and supportive relationships with pupils.
  • Monitoring attendance, engagement and progress.
  • Providing brief progress updates following sessions.
  • Working collaboratively with relevant professionals, parents/carers and education teams where required.
  • Maintaining appropriate safeguarding standards at all times.

About You

  • A recognised teaching qualification or relevant education credential, such as QTS, PGCE, Master's in Education or an equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience teaching or tutoring children and young people.
  • The ability to adapt your teaching approach to individual learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, supportive and learner-focused approach.
  • An Enhanced DBS, or willingness to obtain one.
  • The right to work in the UK and satisfactory safeguarding checks.
