We are recruiting for an experienced Child in Need Reviewing Officer to join a busy Safeguarding Service in Lambeth. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Social Worker with strong safeguarding experience to provide independent oversight of Child in Need (CIN) plans, ensuring interventions remain child-focused, outcome-driven, and achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Chair and facilitate Child in Need review meetings.
- Monitor and review CIN plans, challenging drift and delay.
- Ensure children's voices, wishes, and lived experiences are central to planning.
- Provide independent scrutiny of assessments and safeguarding interventions.
- Work closely with social workers, managers, and partner agencies to improve outcomes.
Requirements:
- Social Work qualification and Social Work England registration.
- Significant experience within Children's Social Care and safeguarding services.
- Experience chairing professional meetings and working across multi-agency partnerships.
