We are recruiting experienced Advanced Social Workers to join the Children in Care Hub in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children and young people in care, helping to achieve positive outcomes through effective care planning, permanence planning, and high-quality social work practice. You will manage a caseload of children aged 0–18, undertaking statutory work including care proceedings, assessments, direct work, and preparing children for adulthood.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of children in care and provide child-focused interventions.
  • Undertake permanency planning including fostering, Special Guardianship, adoption, and reunification planning.
  • Manage care proceedings from Interim Care Orders through to final outcomes.
  • Complete assessments, reports, and accurate case recording.
  • Work collaboratively with children, families, carers, and partner agencies.
  • Promote positive outcomes and independence skills for young people.

Requirements:

  • Social Work qualification and active Social Work England registration.
  • Minimum 3 years’ post-qualified experience in Children’s Services.
  • Experience working with children in care, court proceedings, and permanency planning.
  • Strong direct work, assessment, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
