Job Opportunity: Social Work – Adults Social Services Location: Haringey, London, Greater London Pay Rate: £231.06 per day (Umbrella) Directorate: Adults, Health and Communities Service Area: Adult Social Services We are currently recruiting for a Social Work professional to join the Adults Social Services team within Haringey Council. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual passionate about supporting vulnerable adults, promoting independence and improving the quality of life of residents through a strengths-based approach. The Role You will support adults across the borough by undertaking assessments, reviews and support planning, helping residents and their carers maximise independence, build resilience and access appropriate community resources. You will manage a non-complex caseload while supporting qualified social workers with more complex cases and working collaboratively with health and social care partners. Key Responsibilities * Undertake strengths-based assessments, reviews and develop person-centred support plans. * Support vulnerable adults to maximise independence, wellbeing and quality of life. * Provide practical advice and guidance to residents and carers, including access to welfare benefits and living aids. * Assist with arranging short-term care and respite support for carers. * Review existing care packages and identify changing needs. * Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and partner organisations. * Maintain accurate case records, assessments, reports and support plans. * Support social workers with information gathering and preparation of legal documentation. * Attend safeguarding strategy meetings when required. * Complete Continuing Healthcare (CHC) checklists and identify cases requiring full assessment. Essential Skills and Experience * Experience or exposure to Adult Social Care, whether paid, voluntary or personal. * Understanding of strengths-based and person-centred approaches. * Knowledge of safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion. * Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills. * Ability to work collaboratively with service users, carers and professionals. * Strong assessment, report-writing and record-keeping skills. * Ability to manage workloads, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. * A genuine commitment to promoting independence, dignity and wellbeing. Additional Requirements * Enhanced DBS check required. * Good IT and administrative skills. * Understanding of relevant statutory requirements and data protection.
