We are recruiting experienced Advanced Social Workers to join the Children in Care Hub in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children and young people in care, helping to achieve positive outcomes through effective care planning, permanence planning, and high-quality social work practice. You will manage a caseload of children aged 0-18, undertaking statutory work including care proceedings, assessments, direct work, and preparing children for adulthood.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of children in care and provide child-focused interventions.
- Undertake permanency planning including fostering, Special Guardianship, adoption, and reunification planning.
- Manage care proceedings from Interim Care Orders through to final outcomes.
- Complete assessments, reports, and accurate case recording.
- Work collaboratively with children, families, carers, and partner agencies.
- Promote positive outcomes and independence skills for young people.
Requirements
- Social Work qualification and active Social Work England registration.
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualified experience in Children's Services.
- Experience working with children in care, court proceedings, and permanency planning.
- Strong direct work, assessment, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
