We're looking for a hands-on HR Administrator or HR Systems Specialist to join our People Team on a short-term contract and help us get Personio fully operational before the end of Q2. The strategic design is done — this role is all about execution. You'll be the engine room of our Personio implementation: auditing, cleansing, and migrating employee data; building and configuring lifecycle workflows; and ensuring our records are GDPR-compliant. This is a focused, high-output engagement with clear deliverables and a clean handover at the end.
What you'll be doing:
- Auditing all employee records in Personio and Google Drive, identifying gaps, duplicates, and non-compliant data
- Bulk cleansing and uploading employee data until Personio is our sole active source of truth
- Building and configuring end-to-end lifecycle workflows eg onboarding, offboarding, contract changes, and probation
- Setting up automation rules, triggers, and notification flows to reduce manual HR tasks
- Conducting a GDPR data retention audit and removing or flagging non-compliant historical records
- Decommissioning legacy HR storage
- Producing a workflow user guide and a final delivery report for handover
What You'll Bring To The Role:
Essential:
- Proven, hands-on Personio experience — specifically workflow configuration, automation rules, and data management
- Strong data hygiene instincts: methodical, accurate, and thorough when auditing and cleansing records
- Working knowledge of GDPR as it applies to HR data and document retention
- High proficiency with Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Docs)
- Able to work autonomously and flag blockers proactively
- Available to start 9 June 2026
Nice to have:
- Experience migrating data between HR systems and decommissioning legacy storage
- Previous interim or contract experience in a scaling business
- Familiarity with HRIS best practice for SME organisations
Engagement type: Day rate contract, outside IR35
Duration: 6 weeks (possible extension to 8 weeks)
Start date: 9 June 2026
Hours: Full-time equivalent (5 days/week)
Location: Remote but UK based required
