Linnk are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support a critical migration project for a market leading service provider. The project involves transitioning from a legacy network infrastructure to a modern Aruba CX 10K-based topology with enhanced security and segmentation delivered via Aruba Pensando PSM .
This is a hands-on, hybrid role that will include design, implementation, staging, knowledge transfer, and support for migration activities within a live datacentre environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a 2-tier Aruba CX Data Centre network , including Layer 3 topology with Aruba 10K Top-of-Rack (ToR) switches and 8360 core switches .
- Develop and document migration strategies that prioritise high availability and service continuity during transition.
- Produce Detailed Low-Level Designs (DLD) for the proposed solution, ensuring seamless integration with the client’s existing Cisco and Comware-based infrastructure during interim migration phases.
- Lead the build-out of the underlay network within a pre-staging/Dev Lab environment located on customer premises.
- Manage and support routing protocol integration , primarily BGP and OSPF , to connect the CX network with the wider campus and hospital networks.
- Conduct a structured test phase by migrating select non-critical production and development systems to validate Pensando PSM capabilities and traffic flow via Elba processors .
- Assist with IP gateway migration , traffic re-routing, and planning for secure remote access through OOBM if required.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated expertise in Aruba CX Data Centre design and implementation , particularly with Aruba 10K and 8360 series switches.
- Strong experience with network migration planning and execution in live environments.
- Proven capability to develop detailed network design documentation for multi-vendor integration scenarios.
- In-depth understanding of Aruba Pensando PSM for security segmentation and policy enforcement.
- Solid knowledge of routing protocols (BGP and OSPF) and their application in complex enterprise environments.
Desirable:
- Prior experience with healthcare or other high-availability environments.
- Familiarity with secure remote access design, especially leveraging OOBM networks.
- Aruba certifications/ CCIE/ CCNP
