Overview:

Successful candidates will be natural self-starters who have an Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and/or Construction background. The role will understand the details of Fulfilment Centre design, implementation, modelling, estimating and managing new or retrofit Fulfilment Centres. This job requires a unique combination of flexibility, creativity, innovation, leadership, and effective communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and track the installation progress, quality and validation of all electrical and mechanical systems installed by the Deployment Engineering team
  • Lead large teams through the setup and configuration of software, hardware, and robotics systems
  • Manage onsite relationships with multiple internal and external teams during the on-site implementation systems
  • Assist third-party assemblers by motivating and providing guidance and direction
  • Perform on-site hardware and software support during initial system deployment
  • Daily communication (written and verbally) with peers, management, contractors and vendors
  • Troubleshooting - Ability to identify problems and understand resources needed to resolve them
  • Track the deployment inventory, including spare parts, while working with the supply chain to resolve any discrepancies or issues

Skills & Accreditations:

  • BS in Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field
  • Ability to prioritize, schedule, and logistically support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Comfort with detailed and complex technology, including software, hardware and robotics
  • Self-motivated and able to solve problems independently and in team settings
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, (written and verbally) with peers, management, contractors and vendors
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize different projects and workload
  • Proven ability to work successfully with little supervision
  • Desire to perform a mix of technical and non-technical challenges
