We are seeking an experienced HV/MV Senior Electrical Design Manager to support the delivery of critical power infrastructure projects for hyperscale data centre developments across the EMEA region. This role focuses on the management and supervision of third-party design consultants delivering high and medium voltage substations, grid connections, and power distribution systems supporting mission-critical facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of HV/MV substation and grid connection design packages across multiple projects.
- Manage and coordinate external design consultants, vendors, and utility stakeholders.
- Review and approve electrical designs, specifications, and construction documentation.
- Oversee RFQ/RFP processes, technical evaluations, budgets, schedules, and project governance.
- Coordinate EPMS, SCADA, and BMS integration activities.
- Support commissioning, energisation, and construction oversight activities.
- Ensure compliance with IEC standards, utility requirements, and project specifications.
Requirements
- Extensive experience managing HV/MV electrical infrastructure design projects.
- Background in data centres, power generation, utilities, or other mission-critical environments.
- Strong knowledge of substations, electrical distribution systems, and grid connections.
- Experience managing multiple engineering consultancies and stakeholders.
- Proficiency reviewing AutoCAD, Revit, and technical design documentation.
- Strong project management, budget, and programme coordination skills.
Preferred
- Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineering qualification.
- Knowledge of EMEA electrical regulations, IEC standards, and utility requirements.
- Experience within hyperscale data centre environments.
