We are seeking detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Team Leader / Specialist to uphold the uncompromising quality standards of the EnVentus turbines. You will champion a zero-defect culture, leading inspections, audits, and corrective actions to ensure equipment operates flawlessly. Prior Vestas experience is essential and the specific turbines are V162, 4 MW.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the QA team
- Perform regular quality inspections and audits on mechanical components, preinstallations, and assemblies.
- Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure full compliance with internal ISO standards and strict client specifications. Deep understanding of ISO 9001.
- Develop quality metrics and deliver reports to management while coaching the wider team on quality best practices.
Experience:
- Prior Vestas experience is essential, and the specific turbines are V162, 4 MW.
On-Site Quality Assurance (QA):
- Traceability and Torque: Documenting serial numbers for critical components.
- Lifting Gear: Using specific lifting equipment and step-by-step risk assessments to avoid damaging nacelles, drive trains, and rotor blades during the lift.
Commissioning & Testing:
- Mechanical Checks: Inspecting the mechanical properties of the nacelle modular design, pitch systems, and gearbox.
- Electrical & Grid Compliance: Performing standard electrical tests, checking cable routing, and testing power quality.
The team will be certificated as:
- Safety & Technical: BST (Basic Safety Training) and full BTT (Basic Technical Training), including Bolt Tightening and Installation.
- Lifting & Tele handling: CCNSG, CPCS (Slinger Banksman/Telehandler), or NPORS equivalent.
- Access Equipment: IPAF 3a & 3b (or equivalent machine tickets).
Education & Experience:
- Technical Degree: A completed bachelor's degree or trade qualification in a relevant field such as Electrical, Mechanical, Quality, or Engineering Management.
- Field & Leadership Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of dedicated QA/quality assurance experience (ideally in complex manufacturing, heavy industry, or energy) coupled with 2 to 3 years of direct team leadership or supervisory experience.
- Industry Background: Demonstrated experience of EnVentus WTG.
