You will be working on the transport of massive equipment in a port environment. Ideally with four years accredited experience.
- Core Responsibilities
- SPMT Preparation: Execute the safe loading, unloading, assembly, and disassembly of Scheuerle SPMTs and auxiliary gear.
- Equipment Operation: Manoeuvre SPMT units strictly following technical standards, operating procedures, and project briefs.
- Load Transport: Execute controlled heavy-load movements in line with safety parameters.
- Maintenance & Care: Perform routine and preventative maintenance to guarantee equipment reliability and constant readiness.
- Safety Compliance: Uphold all health, safety, and environmental policies, including proactive hazard and incident reporting.
- Candidate Requirements
- SPMT Expertise: Minimum of four years in a technical or transport environment, with hands-on experience operating Scheuerle SPMTs.
- Sector Experience: Proven track record in heavy industries like civil engineering, renewables, oil & gas, marine, or mining.
- Technical Skill: Strong foundational knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, arithmetic, and electrical schematics.
- Licences & Safety: Valid full UK driving licence, a current Safety Passport, and a solid background in rigging or heavy handling.
- Communication: Basic verbal and written English proficiency with strong situational awareness in fast-paced environments.
Certifications & Training
- Manufacturer Credentials: Scheuerle approved training preferred (Mammoet, Kamag, or equivalent also considered).
- Qualifications: NOCN Level 2 NVQ Certificate (specifically including units H/506/4616).
- Plant Cards: Valid CPCS or NPORS registration.
- Industry Standards: European Trailer Operator Licence (ETOL) or proven competency aligned with ESTA guidelines.
