Cardboard Engineer/Structural Designer/FSDU Designer

Due to continuous growth Linney Display are offering an exciting opportunity for a Cardboard Engineer join our award-winning team. The right candidate for this role might be from a cardboard engineering, packaging, structural design or product design background.

We are looking for a problem solver who loves a challenge and works well as a diverse team to take highly creative concepts through to a final product/display.

We design semi-permanent displays and packaging concepts for well-loved Global and High Street brands, check out some examples of our work:

We are looking for candidates with experience in engineering software such as Artios CAD/AutoCAD/Kasemake/Impact or similar. Artfully balancing creativity and practicality, we develop displays that are innovative and eye-catching, while remaining cost-effective and compliant to brand and retailer guidelines. Our working culture is hugely important to us, and teamwork is the key to our success. You will be working collaboratively alongside a diverse mix of 3D Designers, Graphic Designers, Engineers and Project Managers.

As a Cardboard/Structural Designer you will use your creativity and experience to deliver the following:

• Generating award-winning cardboard engineering cutter guides.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and an awareness of value engineering and developing manufacturing efficiencies.

• Weight testing and experimentation with new structures/prototypes and materials.

• Excellent communication skills, liaising with designers and sales teams to make sure designs adhere to both client specification and retail guidelines.

• Tackle a range of briefs from simple shelf trays to complex free-standing displays and events sites and everything in-between.

• Enjoy the challenge of working in a fast-paced studio environment and be able to pivot from job to job with ease.

• Pushing the boundaries of the possible and challenging convention.
