Linney Create, its full‑service creative agency, is looking to appoint a freelance and contractor coordinator to the business operations team. We’re looking for a highly organised and people‑savvy coordinator to own and manage our freelancer engagement process. From sourcing and screening candidates to onboarding, compliance, and ongoing relationship management, they will be the central point of contact between our freelance network, internal managers, and support functions.

A key part of this role involves managing IR35 status determinations and ensuring all contractor engagements are fully compliant with HMRC regulations, so a working knowledge of UK off‑payroll working rules is essential. They will own and manage our online freelancer platform, build strong relationships, and act as the primary point of contact. They will work closely with managers to define project requirements, agree day rates, develop engagement specifications, and source self‑employed contractors with the right skills. They will be responsible for ensuring documentation is completed accurately, facilitating onboarding for new freelancer engagements, and working with payroll and finance to ensure accurate and timely processing of contractor payments.

Essential skills:

  • Ability to manage relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Solid understanding and experience of IR35 off‑payroll working rules
  • Familiarity with creative or production disciplines
  • Understanding of current freelance market rates
