Linney Cooper is a Royal Warrant Holder and family-run flooring retailer and installer with over 62 years experience across commercial, residential, historic and luxury properties. Based in Llandudno, North Wales & London, we deliver projects nationwide and worldwide including royal estates, historic National Trust properties and luxury marine and residential clients.

Job Summary: We are recruiting two experienced Carpet Fitters/ Floor Layers to join our well-established team in Central/ South West London. This is a long term, stable opportunity for skilled tradespeople who take pride in working to the highest standards in some of the most prestigious settings in the country.

Role at a glance:

  • Position: Carpet Fitter/ Floor Layer (x2)
  • Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 (depending on experience)
  • Location: Central/ South West London + UK and Worldwide travel
  • Contract: Permanent, full-time, employed
  • Hours: 40 hours per week, 8am 5pm

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience installing carpet, LVT & Vinyl
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the UK and worldwide
  • Eligible to pass an enhanced DBS check (required for working in prestigious and high-security properties)
  • High standards of workmanship and attention to detail, with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional, reliable and well presented

Duties:

  • Install carpet, LVT, vinyl and other flooring materials
  • Remove existing flooring and prepare subfloors ready for installation
  • Measure and prepare floor areas accurately
  • Use hand and power tools effectively and safely
  • Work across London sites and travel to fit flooring at UK and overseas projects
  • Communicate well with clients and deliver excellent service throughout each installation
  • Work with the team to complete projects within specified timelines and to our quality standards
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines
