Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists are seeking an RVN to join our friendly, close knit nursing team in Winchester, Hampshire.

About the Role

This is a part time permanent position. The working hours are: Thursday and Friday nights and 1:3 Wednesday night shifts. Plus participation in the weekend rotation - 1:3 Saturday Night shifts and Bank Holiday rotation.

About You

  • Is a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with proven experience in a similar role.
  • Has good organisational and communication skills.
  • Works well in a busy environment.
  • Has a proactive 'can do' attitude.
  • Is eligible to work in the UK.

You’ll be working alongside a wonderful team including a very supportive PCA team, and you’ll be fully supported by the whole nursing team.

About the Practice

Anderson Moores is in a serene countryside setting with state-of-the-art facilities and are available to look after pets 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We benefit from being one of the country’s leading veterinary specialist referral hospitals with vets and their teams caring for small animals every day. Our dedicated vets, nurses and nursing assistants, supported by the administrative teams, are committed to providing the highest quality surgical and medical care for pets. Many of our clinicians are nationally or internationally recognised specialists in their field and bring unique experiences to care for pets. Accepting referrals for Orthopaedic Surgery, Soft Tissue Surgery, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Dentistry, Cardiology, Anaesthesia, Dermatology, Diagnostic Imaging, Oncology, Physiotherapy as well as ophthalmology and a Pain Clinic.

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Night Nurse you will predominantly be based in our wards areas. Our night nurses are an integral part of the team; constantly working to the highest standards to ensure our patients are comfortable and able to recover during their stay in wards. You will enjoy nursing a wide range of cases, using your knowledge and skills to ensure each individual patient receives the care they require. Including: specialised diets, medications, pain relief, physiotherapy, catheter and drain care, mental stimulation and wound management. You will work closely with the clinicians, anaesthetists, patient care assistants, twilight team and the day nurse teams.
