37.5 hours per week, Saturday mornings on a rota basis (approx. 1 in 5, with time back in lieu)
At Gower Vets we are seeking an additional Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our supportive, close-knit nursing team of 5 RVNs and 3 PCAs.
Roles and responsibilities
- Support veterinary surgeons with a wide range of procedures including surgical procedures, dentals, and diagnostic workups
- Carry out a range of nurse consultations and clinics
- Provide high-quality inpatient care, assisting with administration of medications and treatment prescribed
- Maintain accurate and thorough clinical records including anaesthetic sheets, hospitalisation forms and clinical notes
- Ensure high standards of patient welfare and infection control; adhering to stringent infection control protocols and maintenance of equipment, reporting faults or damages
- Contribute to the efficient day-to-day running of the practice by working co llaboratively with RVNs, PCAs, vets, and reception teams
- Maintain excellent client communication and service standards, supporting clients through their journey from admission to discharge
Requirements
- RCVS registered
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care
- Team-focused approach and positive attitude
- Minimum 12 months experience post qualification (desirable)
