We are now seeking an exceptional clinical leader to join our new Area Medical Business Partner team; a pivotal role that empowers our practices to deliver outstanding care, every day. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful, measurable impact across our network, championing patient safety, elevating clinical standards, and developing the next generation of veterinary leaders.
Your Purpose
As an Area Medical Business Partner, you will work closely with our Area Operations Directors and be the bridge between our central medical strategy and our practice teams across the UK & Ireland. You will empower clinical leaders, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure medical excellence is consistently delivered across primary care and referral practices. The role will see you working on-site across our clinics 3-4 days a week, with the rest spent working remotely.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Clinical Leadership & Performance Improvement
- Provide structured support to clinics, coaching Clinical Directors and veterinary teams to strengthen leadership, consistency, and clinical best practice.
- Analyse clinical performance metrics to identify trends, guide coaching priorities, and drive sustainable improvements in quality, patient safety, and outcomes.
- Act as the clinical escalation point for serious incidents, ensuring timely follow-up and shared learning with Quality & Patient Safety teams.
- Delivering Medical Priorities & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Area Operations Directors and the Medical Project Partner to translate strategic medical priorities into effective local action.
- Build strong connections between practice teams and central functions, enabling aligned medical-operational delivery and commercial success.
- Measuring and Demonstrating Impact
- Evaluate the effectiveness of coaching and medical initiatives, demonstrating tangible improvements in patient outcomes, team engagement, and performance.
- Continuously refine your approach using data and insights to maximise impact.
- Maintain strong awareness of the UK&I regulatory landscape and represent Linnaeus with key veterinary bodies when needed.
What You’ll Bring to the role
- Essential Qualifications
- RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
- Leadership or management training (formal or informal) is highly advantageous.
- Experience
- 6+ years of clinical practice and team leadership experience.
- Proven ability to coach, influence, and inspire clinical teams.
- A passion for elevating standards, driving improvement, and enabling others to thrive.
- A good understanding of the commercial drivers for veterinary clinics.
