Every patient, every client, every visit.’ Chess Veterinary Clinic has been offering a high level of Veterinary Care in the Hertfordshire area for the last 75 years. The main clinic in Rickmansworth is situated near local shops and a short walk from Rickmansworth Aquadrome, a local nature reserve that is popular with clients for dog walks and staff members for walks during lunch breaks and to meet socially. The branch surgery is located a short 10 minute drive away in Chorleywood among the local parade of shops and situated near Chorleywood Common, another popular dog walking destination. Both sites are short walks from Metropolitan Underground line stations providing good links to London. Further beautiful countryside is accessible in the nearby Chilterns or shops and nightlife in Watford Town Centre.
The clinic has a well‑established, engaged and friendly team with an experienced and welcoming clinical care team. The surgery has training practice status and CPD, working towards a certificate and career progression are encouraged. The Rickmansworth clinic has Silver Cat Friendly status, and we are working towards Bronze Cat Friendly status at our Chorleywood clinic. At Rickmansworth we have in‑house lab equipment allowing us to perform in‑house thyroid tests, cPLIs and cortisol as well as routine haematology and biochemistry. We have digital radiography facilities including dental radiographs and ultrasonography facilities for abdominal and cardiac scans.
