North Downs Specialists Referrals are recruiting for a receptionist to join their client care team. The role of receptionist is to welcome clients and manage all incoming telephone calls. Also liaise with all colleagues to ensure client queries are dealt with efficiently and in a timely manner.

Working Hours:

  • Monday 2pm-7pm
  • Tuesday 5pm-8pm
  • Wednesday 10am-7pm
  • Thursday OFF
  • Friday 2pm-8pm
  • Approx 1 in 8 Saturday morning 10am-2pm

Totaling 23.5 hours pw.

Tasks will include:

  • Meeting and greeting clients
  • Liaising with clients regarding appointment cancellations or postponements
  • Making appointments for re-exams
  • Dealing with all telephone calls that come through to the reception line
  • Ensuring telephone and email enquiries are forwarded to the relevant colleagues
  • Managing room bookings and troubleshooting any issues
  • Dealing with clinician’s letters
  • Taking payment for treatment
  • Following up on unpaid accounts by calling clients and taking payments
  • Ensuring the reception area is kept clean and tidy, liaising with the front of house and purchasing assistant when necessary
  • Liaising with Client Care Manager regarding any client complaints

North Downs Specialist Referrals is a large, multidisciplinary referral hospital in Surrey. Despite our size, we are a cohesive team. There are other specialist interns in surgery and rotating interns, as well as residents in oncology, anaesthesia and imaging. We have over 35 Recognised Specialists in surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology, oncology, neurology, orthopaedics, cardiology, diagnostic imaging, dentistry, dermatology, and anaesthesia. The centre is a purpose-built state-of-the-art facility. The practice is situated in a beautiful area of Surrey in the countryside. It is within a 15-minute drive of many towns and villages and 30 minutes into central London on the train from there.
