Wear Referrals (Linnaeus Veterinary Limited, Mars) is a multi‑disciplinary veterinary referral hospital in the North East of England, close to the historic university city of Durham, the thriving city of Newcastle and set between the North East coast, the Pennine mountains and several National Parks. Specialist services include neurology, orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, anaesthesia, oncology, diagnostic imaging, cardiology, hydrotherapy and dentistry. The hospital also offers a busy primary care out‑of‑hours emergency service. We encourage an evidence‑based multi‑disciplinary approach, supporting continuous learning and a collegiate atmosphere. The hospital has a varied clinical case load. Clinical research is an essential part of the role, and a keen interest is encouraged and supported. Responsibilities

The diagnostic imaging intern will gain experience in all imaging modalities, with a focus on radiography and ultrasonography initially. The intern will be trained in advanced imaging (CT and MRI) image acquisition, and will be part of the OOH rota alongside our existing team of radiographers. The intern will also be trained to interpret and write reports across all modalities, with all reporting being under direct supervision by an ECVDI diploma holder.
