Overview: We’re looking for an experienced, confident Registered Veterinary Nurse to step into a Team Lead role at our state‑of‑the‑art Referral Hospital in Livingston. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to build something meaningful and help shape how an exceptional Referral Nursing service is delivered.

You’ll mentor and support the development of fellow Nurses, helping to build a strong, skilled and engaged Nursing team that you can be proud of. We’re a busy Referral Hospital and at times, caseloads are high. But when that happens, you’re not working in isolation – the whole team pulls together, united by a shared goal: delivering exceptional care to every patient.
The role: This is a predominantly clinical role (around 80%), reflecting our focus on delivering outstanding patient care. Alongside your clinical responsibilities you will:
- Provide direct line management to Nursing team members
- Support effective patient management across the Hospital
- Coach, mentor and develop Nurses, fostering confidence and capability
- Work collaboratively with the leadership and clinical teams to deliver high‑quality patient care
With new Specialists joining the team, you’ll gain exposure to a growing range of complex referral cases, supporting your continued clinical development and expanding your skill set.
About you: We’re looking for someone who:
- Is a Registered Veterinary Nurse with at least 3 years’ experience in a Referral Hospital
- Has previous leadership experience (formal or informal)
- Is confident working independently and making sound clinical decisions
- Thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment
- Is passionate about mentoring others and growing our positive team culture
